Extended Day Program at HMS

About the Program

The Extended Day Program provides before and after school care for students in grades five through eight. Each day we provide a safe and supportive environment where students can participate independently in creative and recreational activities that promote overall well-being.

Homework is an important part of each as most students choose to spend time completing assignments. Parents/guardians are asked to communicate homework expectations to their student and our staff.

Our student to staff ratio is 10:1 including our program coordinator, instructors, assistants and support staff.

Breakfast and snack are served daily. We provide a selection of breakfast foods, snacks, milk, water, and fresh fruit.

The Extended Day Program follows the same calendar as the Hanover Public Schools including holidays, vacations, and school closings.

If necessary, students will be selected by a lottery process. Students who are not accommodated in the program will be placed on a wait list in the order in which they were selected in the lottery. All efforts will be made to accommodate as many students as possible.
